How to Use the Orders Page in Your Dashboard

Everything you need to know about viewing, filtering, and editing your orders in one place.

The Orders page is one of the most frequently used sections of the Tough Commerce dashboard—and for good reason. It gives you a full overview of upcoming and past deliveries, lets you quickly make changes, and helps you stay organized throughout the day. This guide will walk you through how to use the page effectively, including filtering orders, viewing details, using the map view, and making quick edits without needing to open each order individually.

Viewing Orders

The Orders page will display all orders for the selected date range. Orders are grouped by date.

  • To change the date range, click the date range in the top-right corner. Once you select a date range, you will see it applied as a period filter just below the search bar.

  • Beside the date selector, you'll see two view icons:

    • Expanded View (icon with 2 stacked rectangles): Displays more order information directly in the list.

    • Condensed View (icon with 3 rectangles): Hides some information to make the list more compact.

  • You can click anywhere on an order card to expand it and see more details.

  • Click the Order Number to open the full order view.

Using the Map View

To see your orders visually on a map, click "Show Map" in the top-right of the Orders page. This map is especially helpful for dispatchers or coordinators who want a real-time view of where deliveries are scheduled for a given day.

Tip: Once a job has been started by an operator, you'll see live updates as blue task boxes that show the driver's progress on the order card.

  • Click the arrow button in the top-left of the map to expand it and hide the order list.

  • Click "Show List" to return to the order list view.

Map icons:

  • Yards appear as a green factory icon

  • Trucks appear as a car icon

  • Orders appear with icons that include the order number; hover over these icons to view key order details such as customer name and delivery address.

Use the filter icons in the bottom-left corner of the map to filter what appears (Orders, Yards, or Trucks).

Additional Map Features:

  • Toggle Satellite View by clicking the "Satellite" button.

    • Click the "Satellite" button and uncheck the Labels checkbox to hide street names and other labels.

  • Click on an order in the order list to highlight and expand its details on the map. You'll also see a route drawn based on Google Maps data.

Filters

Click the "Filters" button at the top of the Orders page to refine your view and find specific orders. You can apply the following filters:

  • Status

  • Payment Status

  • Source

  • Category

  • Supplier

  • Operator

  • Customer

  • Location

  • Country/State

  • Truck

  • Projects

This is helpful when searching for a particular order or narrowing down a large order list. Use the search bar to search for a specific order number.

Quick Edits on Order's Page

Each order card gives you a high-level view and the ability to make quick edits without leaving the page. Click the order box to expand the view to see further details. You can edit multiple parts of an order right from the list view without opening the full order page.

You can click directly on the following elements to edit:

  • Time & Date: Click the time listed to reschedule the order. You can change the delivery time and date from this menu.
