How to Configure Product Settings in Your Dashboard

Manage ordering rules, units, increments, truck capacities, and delivery parameters for each product category.

Settings in your dashboard determine how products can be ordered, including measurement units, minimum and maximum quantities, time increments, truck capacities, and delivery options. The available settings vary depending on the product category, ensuring that each order is accurate, efficient, and aligned with your business requirements.

To access your order settings:

  1. Click Settings in the left-hand panel.
  2. Select Locations.
  3. Choose the location you want to edit the settings.
    • If you’d like to edit settings for all locations later, you can do this after creation.
  4. Click Edit in the top right corner.
  5. Select the appropriate category under the Settings section. You’ll see different options depending on whether it’s a Line Pump, Concrete, or another product type.

Line Pump Settings

Quantity Config (Time)

  • Unit – The unit used to measure time for this product, usually Hour.
  • Increment – The smallest billable unit. For example, if the increment is set to 1 hour, billing can only occur in full-hour blocks (so 90 minutes would round to either 1 or 2 hours). If the increment is set to 0.5, time can be billed in 30-minute intervals (allowing a 90-minute job to be billed accurately).
  • Min – The minimum amount of time that can be billed for an order. Example: If set to 2 hours, even if the pump is used for 1.5 hours, the customer will be charged for 2 hours.
  • Max – The maximum amount of time a customer can order. Example: If set to 8 hours, orders cannot exceed 8 hours.

Quantity Config (Quantity)

  • Unit – The unit used to measure the quantity delivered, e.g., cubic yards.
  • Increment – The step size for quantity. For example, if increment = 1, customers can order in whole cubic yards. If increment = 0.5, they can order in half-yard increments.
  • Min – The minimum quantity that can be ordered. Example: 1 cubic yard.
  • Max – The maximum quantity allowed for a single order. Example: 10 cubic yards.

Concrete Settings

Quantity Settings

  • Unit – The measurement unit for the product, e.g., cubic yards.
  • Increment – The step size for quantity. Example: 0.01 cubic yard allows very precise ordering.

Pickup Availability

  • Self Pickup – Tick this box to allow contractors to pick up the concrete themselves. This option will appear as a delivery method when creating an order.

Delivery Methods (Truck Parameters)

    • Truck Capacity – Maximum amount your truck can carry. Example: 10 cubic yards.
    • Min per truck – Minimum quantity that must be loaded on each truck. Example: 1 cubic yard.
    • Min order – Minimum quantity required per truck for an order. Example: If Min order = 2 cubic yards, orders cannot be placed for less than this amount per truck.
    • Max order – The maximum number of loads allowed on a single order. Example: if Max order is set to 10 and your trucks carry 10 yards each, the order can include up to 10 loads for a total of 100 yards.
    • Min Order Amount – Minimum total dollar amount required to place an order. Example: $500 ensures small, unprofitable orders aren’t processed.
